Building on its market-leading position in the United Kingdom, ADL has successfully exported its expertise in double-deck and lightweight bus technology. The company’s international revenues have grown seven-fold since 2007 and now account for close to 50% of ADL’s business.

ADL has used its success in Hong Kong to springboard to other markets in the Asia-Pacific region including Singapore, New Zealand, and Malaysia. In the U.S., and Canada, ADL has sold 1,000 double-deck buses and is focusing on growing this further with locally manufactured double- and single-deck vehicles. Earlier this year, 90 double-deck buses entered service in Mexico City as part a landmark Latin American deal that was supported by the Government’s UK Export Finance agency. A launch order from Switzerland has generated additional interest in continental Europe for ADL to explore.
