An Amtrak train derailed after running into a boulder on the Colorado-Utah state line Tuesday, injuring six, though none seriously.
The California Zephyr train, traveling west from Chicago to Oakland, Calif., struck the 12-by-12-foot boulder just west of Grand Junction, Colo., according to the Associated Press.
Four crew members and two passengers were treated for minor injuries. More than 100 people were on board at the time of the collision.
Western Colorado has been hit this week by a series of snow and rainstorms, which probably caused the boulder to tumble downhill.
