[IMAGE]APTA-video-wall-full-2.jpg[/IMAGE]What does public transportation mean to the millions of Americans who ride every day? The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) is reaching out to those riders to find out. APTA launched a video wall featuring testimonials from various individuals sharing their stories about how public transportation impacts their life.

Focusing on the economic, environmental, energy and quality of life benefits of public transit, the wall is aimed to show Congress the vital need for a multi-year surface transportation bill, according to APTA officials.

“Collectively these voices on our video wall show Congress the need to act now and pass a long-term surface transportation bill that increases investment in public transportation,” said APTA President William Millar. “This is the perfect venue for the public to have their voices heard and to let their elected officials know that public transportation is important in their lives and their community.”

To view testimonials or to participate in adding a testimonial to the wall, go to www.publictransportation.org/wall.  APTA will share these stories with members of Congress and their staff.
