YUMA, Ariz. — YumaSun.com reports that the Yuma Metropolitan Planning Organization, which oversees YCAT (Yuma County Area Transit) and Dial-A-Ride, recently voted to end the public transit systems effective June 30 after consensus was that none of the supporting local entities had the additional funding identified by new management that would be needed to keep the buses rolling — a $2 million price tag for Yuma County, the cities of Yuma, Somerton, San Luis and Wellton and the Cocopah Tribe.
