Complete Coach Works (CCW) delivered five refurbished transit buses to Washington’s Everett Transit.
The five buses supplied by Transit Sales International were originally 2008 35-foot GILLIG models that underwent a refurbishment by CCW.
The refurbishment process included significant upfitting to meet Everett Transit’s specific needs including two-color exterior paint and decals to match their most recent builds; new European style frameless passenger windows; and new exterior mirrors, flooring, suspension components, bike rack, fare box, and passenger seat inserts.
Updated ADA mobility device securements were installed as well as a new steering wheel, updated adjustable accelerator and brake pedal assemblies, new driver seat, new driver safety barrier, and a full camera surveillance system.
The project was conducted through the Washington State Transit Bus Cooperative Purchasing Schedule, which allows transit agencies to procure refurbished, repowered, and rebuilt buses through a streamlined and efficient process.
Flowbird North America Inc. is partnering with Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) to deliver 228 state-of-the-art Astreo Ticket Vending Machines (TVMs) at transit stations around the region.
The rollout will support DART’s ongoing efforts to enhance its transit system, while supporting seamless and efficient travel for its riders.
Flowbird’s TVMs will connect to DART’s back-office platform, allowing real-time updates to user accounts. This integration ensures that riders can quickly add funds to their accounts by simply inserting cash or using their bank cards at Flowbird’s TVMs.
The first set of TVMs is scheduled for installation by 2025, in tandem with the opening of the Silver Line, which will connect Plano to DFW International Airport. Full deployment of the machines is expected in 2026, coinciding with the completion of the Silver Line’s construction.
TBN is partnering with Saucon Technologies and Initek Consulting that enables Saucon users to streamline data connections between operations software and ELD compliance data.
The enhancement creates a more seamless and reliable connection between critical tools such as payroll, billing, and compliance.
With this release, users will not only be able to transmit vehicle location data but also a wide range of other essential information, including driver details, logging events, vehicle start and end times, mileage data, and crucial state-based mileage information for IFTA reporting.

A major goal of the pilot, which begins in April, is to test the speed, functionality, and durability of new handheld devices to scan Ventra and paper tickets.
