King County Metro in Seattle captured top honors at the 2005 APTA International Bus Roadeo, garnering the highest combined score for the maintenance team and bus operators. The transit system's maintenance team (Leonard Emry, Larry Fitzpatrick and Ryan Stringfellow) won first place for the third straight year. The San Mateo County (Calif.) Transit District took second place. Third place went to the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority.
