AssetWorks announced that long-time customer the City of Colorado Springs, Colo. upgraded to the browser-based version of FleetFocus. Additionally, Colorado Springs Mountain Metropolitan Transit Authority (Mountain Metro) is joining the city in using the single database to manage all fleet maintenance operations.

"By joining Mountain Metropolitan Transit in the upgrade to the browser-based version of FleetFocus, both the city and the transit can use the same system and view the same data," Tom Monarco, fleet manager, City of Colorado Springs. "Now that we'll be on the same system, we anticipate that it can help improve our efficiency in taking care of the vehicles that service the citizens of Colorado Springs."

AssetWorks software is configured to track the 4,700 vehicle units maintained by the city and the nearly 200 revenue and non-revenue vehicles maintained by Mountain Metropolitan Transit, as well as the many bus stops throughout the city. FleetFocus fleet management software tracks all activities related to the acquisition, maintenance and disposal of these vehicles on a single database including work order processing, flexible preventive maintenance scheduling, warranty tracking, and detailed reporting.

The system can also improve customer communication through a secure customer access portal or through automated email notifications related to vehicle service and availability.
