First Transit wins 2 medical transport contracts
The Non-Emergent Medical Transportation contracts are for the Oregon Health Authority’s Tri County MedLink and the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services Managed Care Network's Family Health Network.
First Transit was awarded the contract for Oregon Health Authority’s Tri County MedLink for Portland and surrounding areas.
The contract, which began in January, is for four years and engages First Transit to serve as the regional broker for arranging Non-Emergent Medical Transportation (NEMT) for OHA clients in the Portland Metro area.
First Transit GM Cori Walter will oversee the services for TriCounty MedLink.

The company was also awarded a contract as NEMT broker for the Family Health Network (FHN) — an Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services Managed Care Network.
The contract, which began March 2015, includes coordinating, scheduling, managing and reimbursement for NEMT service requests.
First Transit Area GM Carol Faye will oversee the services FHN’s NEMT brokerage.
