First Transit wins Reno paratransit contract
Company has provided service to the residents of Reno through its fixed-route services since 1978. Management of the $30.4 million contract begins July 1.
First Transit Inc. was awarded a five-year management contract for Reno's Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) paratransit services. First Transit will begin management of the $30.4 million contract on July 1.
Since 1978, First Transit has provided service to the residents of Reno through its fixed-route services. This announcement confirms First Transit's commitment to providing efficient and sustainable transportation services for RTC and their customers.
"We look forward to working with the staff at ACCESS, local agencies and the riders to create a World Class ACCESS paratransit service to complement the World Class RTC Public fixed route transportation system," said Brad Thomas, president of First Transit and First Services. "We greatly value the RTC and its dedication to providing safe and efficient transportation services. We look forward to an expanded partnership."
