“I am pleased to accept this celebrated award on behalf of the 137,000 First Group employees who have embraced our safety culture and whose commitment to safety makes First a remarkable company,” said Sir Lockhead.  “We put safety first in everything we do and in every decision we make. ‘If you cannot do it safely, don’t do it,’ is more than a company motto; it represents our relentless pursuit of injury prevention.”

The National Safety Council is a non-profit organization that serves as a leading U.S. resource on industry trends, professional development, and strategies for advancing safety and health in the workplace.
