As part of its complete suite of GreenRide mobility management solutions, Ecology and Environment Inc. announces the launch of Flex-T, a patent-pending Web-based paratransit and specialized transportation management program.

Flex-T facilitates the consolidation of specialized and paratransit programs across multiple service agencies — including health, eldercare, economically disadvantaged and rehabilitation programs — to increase utilization, consolidate passenger trips, reduce vehicle miles traveled (VMT) and improve customer service.

"The GreenRide Flex-T solution can help agencies and support services significantly reduce overall associated costs while also simplifying the transportation process," said Tony Gale, E & E program director for GreenRide. "Flex-T automatically streamlines scheduling and improves access by consolidating passengers and trips across participating agencies, making it easy to facilitate a cost-saving, environmentally responsible transportation program."

In addition, the Flex-T solution offers enhanced customer service to passengers through customized pick-up reminder communications. Delivered via passenger preference — whether interactive voice recognition (IVR), automated phone, e-mail or text message — reminder communications can also be directed to a passenger's caretaker or guardian.

"With the variety of challenges often faced by a service agency's clientele, Flex-T provides a reliable means for ensuring all passengers remain on schedule for pick-up," Gale said.

Flex-T also offers the convenience of 5310 and grant-specific reporting to simplify transportation-associated administrative functions.

The complete suite of GreenRide mobility management solutions is designed to streamline and integrate programs while delivering on aims of sustainable transportation. GreenRide solutions can deliver real environmental and economic benefits across numerous organizations. These include the potential to cut greenhouse gas emissions, reduce traffic congestion and conserve millions of dollars in associated parking costs.
