IC Bus corporate executives and nearly 100 dealer executives recently gathered for the annual, two-day IC Bus Dealer Meeting in Orlando, Fla., to celebrate the success of the past year.

Dealers discussed opportunities for 2012 with peers and corporate executives, including how IC Bus continues to lead the industry in market share and has an opportunity to defend its market share based on an enhanced sales and marketing approach coupled with quality products and parts and service sales support.

“IC Bus is pleased to celebrate 10 years of being number one in market share since 2002,” said John McKinney, president, Navistar Global Bus. “Our people, including the IC Bus team and our dealers, have helped us stay number one and I have confidence that we will continue to lead the industry in market share moving forward.”

The meeting culminated with an awards ceremony, recognizing exceptional individuals throughout the IC Bus dealer network. First, IC Bus recognized 10 IC Bus Dealer Scholarship recipients. Through the IC Bus Dealer Scholarship program, IC Bus dealership employees and their families are eligible for scholarship awards.

Additionally, Midwest Transit Equipment of Kankakee, Ill. received the IC Bus 2011 North American Tom Cellitti Dealer of the Year Award. McKinney said Jim Bridgewater and Barry Huebner, dealer principals, and the team from Midwest Transit Equipment, truly represent the ideals and values of IC Bus.

Top IC Bus dealers across the country also earned Regional Dealer of the Year honors. Those recipients include:

  • Western Region: Western Canada IC Bus (Don Macadam, dealer principal).
