IndyGo has been operating its service on Saturday schedules, Monday through Saturday, since March 29. This service reduction was part of the agency’s response to coronavirus, which also included temporarily suspending fare collection, installing plexiglass shields for bus operators, closing the Carson Transit Center lobby and restrooms, and increasing bus and facility cleanings. Operating on a reduced schedule allowed IndyGo staffing level flexibility needed each day to better protect employees and continue service.
Fare collection and front-door boarding were reinstated May 4. The Carson Transit Center lobby and restrooms remain closed to the public currently, but the Customer Service retail desk is open during regularly scheduled hours with limited capacity for riders who need to purchase fare. IndyGo will continue to monitor ridership and evaluate routes and schedules.
