Caesars Entertainment renewed its successful 15-year partnership with the Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada’s (RTC) Club Ride program to continue to provide commuting alternatives for employees at all of its nine Las Vegas properties and the Caesars Entertainment Corporate Office.

Club Ride is a free, incentive-based program geared to help residents find ways to reduce traffic congestion, improve air quality and mobility by encouraging them to use — and report — commuting alternatives such as carpooling, biking, walking or using transit to and from work.

In 2012 alone, Caesars Entertainment employees who participated and reported their commutes as part of the RTC’s Club Ride program, showed that Caesars reduced 132 tons of greenhouse gases, reduced 352,975 miles from roadways — the equivalent of 14 trips around the earth and saved a collective $92,067.81 by taking an alternative commute to work.

“Club Ride has been a valuable component of our CodeGreen program at Caesars, and collaborating with our team members and RTC has produced tremendous results in reducing our impact on the environment and helping us increase our sustainability efforts,” said Gwen Migita, VP, sustainability and community affairs.

Club Ride is just one of many initiatives supported by CodeGreen, Caesars’ environmental sustainability program that engages its 70,000 nationwide employees to engage in business practices that provide tangible low-carbon solutions to reduce water, energy and waste consumption at all Caesars resorts.

During a re-launch of the partnership with Club Ride, Caesars and RTC reintroduced the program to Caesars team members with several days of outreach events resulting in 210 new participant registrants on top of the already 1,997 existing program participants.
