MCI delivers to Mississippi, Connecticut
ConnDOT purchased 33 ADA-compliant and Wi-Fi ready D4500 Commuter Coaches. Ridgeland, Miss.-based Cline-Trailways received five J4500s, outfitted with three-point seat belts.

[IMAGE]Connecticut-DOT-Delivery-Photos-005FULL.jpg[/IMAGE] With the assistance of federal transit stimulus funds, the Connecticut Department of Transportation (ConnDOT) purchased 33 Motor Coach Industries (MCI) D4500 coaches.
The ADA-compliant and Wi-Fi ready Commuter Coaches will be split among five regional operators.
The ConnDOT order featured the D4500s with Internet connectivity; a standard 57 seat configuration; and a Cummins ISM 10.8L, 410-horsepower engine with an Allison B500 Gen IV automatic six-speed transmission.
[IMAGE]Cline-s-MCI-J4500FULL.jpg[/IMAGE] Meanwhile, Ridgeland, Miss.-based Cline-Trailways recently received its 75th MCI J4500, part of a five-coach order.
Powered by Detroit Diesel engines and Allison transmissions, Cline’s newest J4500s are outfitted with three-point seat belts as well as DVD players, video monitors and a host of other passenger amenities.
Cline offers tour, charter and shuttle services with a fleet that also includes 20 mini-buses. Additionally, the company operates a fleet of 50 school buses.
