The eco-friendly plan calls for “an attractive, yet sustainable landscape that conserves water and is based on sound horticultural practice.” Improvements will consist of sidewalk and pavement repairs, the replacement of grassy areas with sustainable landscaping and the removal of diseased trees.

In addition to repairs, signs, railings and other metal structures will be painted. The facility will also be upgraded to meet current ADA requirements.

Montebello Bus Lines manages the Montebello/Commerce Metrolink Station and will oversee the restoration project.

The Montebello/Commerce Metrolink station opened in 1997 and has an average of 2,500 passengers each week and is served by Montebello Bus Lines as well as L.A. Metro.
