MV Transportation Inc. announced R. Carter Pate joined the company as its new CEO in August.

Over the past 35 years, the company has become the largest privately-owned passenger transportation contracting firm and the largest provider of paratransit services based in the U.S. Under its new leadership, MV remains committed to delivering world-class passenger transportation services and will build upon its 35-year foundation to grow all lines of business.

Pate comes to MV with more than 33 years of consulting, management and executive leadership experience spanning the full spectrum of business operations and finance in both the public and private sectors. He has worked extensively with federal, state and local government, including the U.S. Department of Defense, U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs, U.S. Department of Transportation and NASA.

Pate’s breadth of experience and strategic direction will not only lend to the success of MV, but to the success of its customers and the quality of passenger transportation MV provides.

The MV-1 is the first factory-built and assembled wheelchair-accessible vehicle designed to meet the unique needs of the paratransit market, according to the company.
