N.J. paratransit wins grant for veterans’ access
A $406,125 grant from the FTA will help the Morris Area Para-Transit System develop a one-click/one-call transportation resource center to coordinate local transportation services to veterans who live in the Morris County area.
NEWARK, N.J. — As part of its Veterans Transportation and Community Living Initiative, the Federal Transit Administration awarded a $406,125 grant to the Morris Area Para-Transit System (MAPS) to help veterans, military families and others connect to jobs and services by improving access to local transportation options, nj.com reported.
With the funds, MAPS will be able to develop a one-click/one-call transportation resource center to coordinate local transportation services to veterans who live in the Morris County area, a MAPS spokesperson told nj.com. For the full story, click here.
