NEW YORK CITY — The city's paratransit bus schedules are being disrupted with the closing of two companies that provide transportation for disabled passengers. The companies, which will start laying off all of their employees — 854 combined — starting this month, cite the termination of contracts by the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA), according to a Crain's New York Business.com story.
