National Interstate Insurance Co., a provider of passenger transportation insurance, partnered with Transit & Paratransit Co. (TAPTCO) to offer its customers a comprehensive driver training course.

TAPTCO developed the training program, which includes transit and paratransit operator development courses as well as a trainer certification process, to ensure that drivers are fully prepared to provide the safest and most efficient services. TAPTCO will be offering the course to National Interstate customers at preferred pricing.

Since 2003, National Interstate has marketed insurance for public transit and paratransit operators through its Community & Medical Transportation (CMT) office located in Mechanicsburg, Pa. The company's products are designed specifically for community transportation operations of any size including public transit, paratransit and non-emergency medical transportation.
