The National Transit Institute (NTI) is seeking proposals from qualified professionals to facilitate its existing Public Involvement in Transportation Decision Making course. In addition, NTI may periodically request proposers to edit/update the existing course materials.
NTI’s Public Involvement in Transportation Decision Making is a three-day course that reviews and discusses various time tested and new techniques for involvement. It is a joint effort among FTA’s Office of Planning, NTI, the Federal Highway Administration’s (FHWA) Office of Planning and the National Highway Institute (NHI) and was recently updated to reflect changes in the federal transportation reauthorization.
This course seeks to give transit agencies, planners, transportation specialists, communication professionals and others the practical strategies; examples; and tools they need to address new and existing public involvement efforts in their regions and communities, as well as engage in better decision making in transportation.
