NJ TRANSIT has extended Transdev’s contract to operate its Monmouth County Area Local Bus Service for another three years.
As part of the nearly 30-year partnership, Transdev manages the operations, maintenance, and operator recruitment and training of Monmouth County’s seven fixed routes, which includes 20 vehicles and 55 employees.
“We look forward to continuing this strong relationship with Monmouth County,” said Justin Augustine, Transdev’s northeast regional VP. “We are excited to lend our expertise and bring added value to the service, which will ultimately benefit our client and our passengers.”
“We have a strong safety culture onsite, which translates not only to a positive work environment, but also to the great customer service and passenger experience our employees offer our riders,” added Rick Pascale, Transdev GM for Monmouth County. “I look to forward to building on that in the years to come.”
The contract renewal was approved by the NJ TRANSIT Board on Feb. 10 and became effective as of March 20.
The five-mile Rapid A-Line connects Downtown Atlanta to Capitol Gateway, Summerhill, Peoplestown, and the Beltline’s Southside Trail.
