COLUMBUS, Ohio — The director of the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) announced Tuesday that the state plans to share $80 million in federal transportation funding with 59 local transit authorities through 2013, The Columbus Dispatch reports. However, this is significantly less than initially planned, since Gov. John Kasich administration officials are rescinding a three-year, $150 million funding pledge to Ohio's public transit agencies that former Gov. Ted Strickland made in the campaign last fall.
