Panasonic Corp. of North America announced a partnership with TransitScreen Inc. to use technological innovations providing real-time transit information to commuters across the U.S.
The two companies will combine Panasonic's CityNOW platform and TransitScreen, using real-time, multi-screen displays to help city residents and visitors navigate infrastructure and urban transportation.
People will also have access to information such as transit arrival times, local points of interest, live events at transit agencies, smart bus shelters, airports, street kiosks, stadiums and arenas, municipal buildings, and university stadiums.
The partnership will begin in Denver, Colorado with plans to expand to other cities across the country in the future.
The upgraded system, which went live earlier this month, supports METRO’s METRONow vision to enhance the customer experience, improve service reliability, and strengthen long-term regional mobility.
