“It’s a myth that paratransit fleets have to purchase expensive electric vehicles to achieve their sustainability goals,” said Steve Whaley, director of autogas business development at PERC. “Propane autogas engines are 90 percent cleaner than mandated EPA standards and they provide the lowest total cost-of-ownership. With propane, paratransit fleets can prioritize providing a safe, clean ride for their passengers while lowering their operating costs. It’s a win for environmental sustainability and a win for the fleet’s financial sustainability.”

On the webpage, transit directors can access a free, downloadable brochure detailing real-world case studies from fleets across the U.S., according to PERC.
