RouteMatch Software is providing Charlottesville, Va.-based JAUNT with a complete intelligent transportation platform to power the operation's demand response operations.
JAUNT performs 300,000 trips per year and runs 75 demand response vehicles covering Charlottesville, Albemarle, Fluvanna, Louisa, Nelson and Buckingham counties.
In addition to utilizing RouteMatch's advanced scheduling, routing, dispatching and reporting technologies, JAUNT's drivers and dispatchers will also be using RouteMatch's mobile data management platform, RMMobile, and tablet mobile data devices for automated vehicle location, enhanced driver dispatch communications and electronic manifests.
RMMobile will allow JAUNT to take advantage of the Android operating platform and array of value-added functionalities modules such as pre- and post-vehicle trip inspection and as a base for developing other extended applications for payroll and driver time-keeping.
The station was rebuilt as part of SEPTA’s Station Accessibility Program, making it fully ADA accessible with new elevators, ramps, and high-level platforms.
