Safe Fleet announced its subsidiary Seon will promote its current COO, Tom Gill, to president, effective Dec. 31, 2014. Gill will replace Seon President/Co-founder Terry Akiyama, who is retiring, but will transition to his new role as chairman.
Seon joined the Safe Fleet family in September when it was acquired as part of Safe Fleet’s vision to become the global leader in safety for fleet vehicles.
Gill was hired as COO in 2009 and is a veteran in the video surveillance industry, having previously served as COO and CFO of Silent Witness prior to their acquisition by Honeywell in 2003.
The region’s fixed-route system finished out the year with a total of 373.5 million rides. Adding 12.3 million rides over 2024 represents an increase that is equal to the annual transit ridership of Kansas City.
