Safety Vision completes Calif. mobile video surveillance installation — GETD

Safety Vision LLC completed an $868,587 contract to install on-board video surveillance systems for the Golden Empire Transit District (GETD) in Bakersfield, Calif. A total of 86 fixed-route buses and 19 paratransit buses were retrofitted.

The GETD will be using Safety Vision’s Observer™ 4112 and the Observer 4120 hybrid video recorder (HVR) systems to provide video and audio surveillance over public transportation options. The hybrid recorders allow the user to incorporate both analog and high resolution IP cameras into the same system in order to conserve hard drive storage space.

In addition to the Observer 4112 and the Observer 4120 HVRs, GETD purchased the complimentary Foresight PRO viewing software and Automatic Download System (ADS). Safety Vision also provided the GETD with wireless downloading equipment.
