ROSEMEAD, Calif. — The primary electric supply company for the region, Southern California Edison (SCE), filed a plan with state regulators that would fund the installation of charging stations for plug-in electric buses, trucks, cargo equipment, and ridesharing fleets, reported the Los Angeles Daily News.
The plan, which SCE hopes to roll out in 2019, would cost about $570 million spread over five years for construction and programs, the report said.
According to SCE officials, the intent is to help California reach its goal of 40% reduction in greenhouse gases by 2030, Los Angeles Daily News reported. For the full story, click here.
