TLPA conference comes to New Orleans

This year's conference, held in May, is expected to be well attended and attendees are urged to make their travel plans now, especially considering that the event begins the day after the close of the New Orleans Jazz Festival, one of the busiest times of the year for the city.

The Taxicab, Limousine & Paratransit Association's (TLPA) Spring Conference & Expo heads to New Orleans May 6 to 8.

This year's conference is expected to be well attended and attendees are urged to make their travel plans now, especially considering that the event begins the day after the close of the New Orleans Jazz Festival, one of the busiest times of the year for the city.

Concurrent paratransit sessions on Sunday, May 6 include "Grant Writing: Which Grants, Federal Set Asides & Federal Supply Schedule" and "Grow Your Business: New Markets, Off-Peak Utilization & Increased Productivity."

The second day, Monday, May 7, features a breakfast buffet in the Expo Hall followed immediately by the General Session. A buffet luncheon will be served in the Expo Hall with exhibitors. The afternoon features the Women in Transportation Committee meeting, along with the three concurrent breakout sessions, to include the Limousine Steering Committee Open Meeting.

The third day, Tuesday, May 8, begins with a continental breakfast and an open meeting of the TLPA board of directors. The board will discuss which course the association will take for the coming year, including establishing the legislative agenda; reviewing the status of the strategic plan and proposing future meeting sites.
