SEARCHFare collection system will be nation’s first contactless credit card system for bus transit.
The Utah Transit Authority agreed to a contract with the ERG Group to supply the agency with a contactless credit card bus fare collection system.
The system, which will apply to 41 buses serving Salt Lake City ski resorts, will be the first of its kind in the U.S.
Riders will have the capability to use smart cards for transit payment, as well as ski resort access.
