SALT LAKE CITY — In its “Accessible Transit Services for All” report, the Federal Transit Administration touted the Utah Transit Authority’s FLEX bus service as a solution other transit providers should be looking at to improve paratransit services while also saving money, The Salt Lake Tribune reported.
FLEX generally follows a fixed route, but will deviate up to three-quarters of a mile to pick up a limited number of riders who phone and make an appointment. The routes serve both the general public and the disabled, but anyone can request a deviation. For the full story, click here.
