Website accesses all South Fla. transportation modes
Site serves as portal to transit and airline schedules, traffic updates, weather and more.
Miami-Dade County announced the launch of a new Website that serves as a gateway to information on all transportation services in the area.
Created by a partnership of 11 transportation and tourism-related agencies, including Miami-Dade Transit, Miami International Airport and the Metropolitan Planning Organization, the site features transit schedules, traffic updates and in-depth flight information.
The online portal also includes direct links to Metrobus and Metrorail schedules, paratransit services, information on municipal transportation services, weather reports and views of road conditions from several live traffic cameras.
Website links are grouped in four basic categories — air, land, sea and accessible services.
“There is a wealth of useful and exciting information about transportation and mass transit on the Web, but most people don’t know where to look for it because it’s scattered among so many different Websites,” said Miami-Dade Transit Director Roosevelt Bradley. “This site brings all that information together in one user-friendly Website.”
