Valley Metro

The City of Phoenix awarded Transdev a five‐year contract to operate all of the Valley Metro Bus Services from the North and South Phoenix Facilities, which accounts for approximately 70% of the city’s overall bus service.

Through this contract, which began in the summer of 2015, Transdev will continue to provide operations and maintenance services to approximately 24 million passengers each year, with over 800 employees and nearly 350 vehicles.

Transdev will continue to operate 33 routes including the DASH (Downtown) circulator, the SMART (Sunnyslope) neighborhood circulator, and the five RAPID commuter routes that travel from major Park and Ride lots near major freeways to RAPID stops in the downtown business core.

Katrina Heineking will continue to serve as the GM for the contract.
