Transportation Safety Exchange (TSX) and Coach USA announced all megabus.com carriers are now TSX approved, making megabus.com the first carrier group to achieve TSX approval for all of its motor carriers. Almost one-third of Coach USA's other companies are also TSX approved.

Fairfax, Va.-based TSX is an independent safety rating organization that provides safety ratings of more than 300,000 passenger and freight carriers.

Paramus, N.J.-based Coach USA is a motorcoach company made up of more than 30 local companies in North America that operate scheduled bus routes, motorcoach tours, charters and city sightseeing tours.

TSX is an independent rating organization that inspects, monitors and reports the safety performance of motor carriers in the ground transportation industry. TSX's mission is to reduce highway accidents, save lives and minimize the cost of damages from motor carrier accidents across North America.

"We are very proud of the number of TSX Approved companies in both our megabus.com group and in the overall Coach USA organization, because it demonstrates that we have implemented the highest standards of safety," said Don Carmichael, executive VP sr. VP, safety, of Coach USA.

Megabus.com is one of the largest privately funded providers of city-to-city express bus transportation. The operation serves more than 120 cities in North America, including routes operated by other Coach USA subsidiaries.
