ENC Lands Additional 10-Bus Order From Academy Bus
The latest purchase brings Academy Bus’ AXESS fleet orders to 35 vehicles as ENC continues expanding its heavy-duty transit lineup.

ENC's Buy America-compliant transit buses are available in 30-, 32-, 33-, 35-, and 40-foot configurations. Propulsion options include clean diesel, compressed natural gas, diesel-electric hybrid, and battery-electric.
ElDorado National – California
ElDorado National – California (ENC) recently announced that Academy Bus has placed an additional order for 10 40-foot Axess heavy-duty transit buses, marking the third order between the two companies within the past year.
The latest purchase follows Academy Bus’s prior 10-bus and 15-bus orders in 2025, bringing the operator’s cumulative Axess purchases from ENC to 35 vehicles. The buses will support Academy’s contract service operations for existing customers.
The announcement was made during the American Public Transportation Association’s Mobility Conference in Salt Lake City, where ENC is exhibiting.
According to ENC, the Axess platform features a 304-grade stainless steel body structure designed for durability and corrosion resistance. The buses are ADA-compliant and available in multiple propulsion configurations, including clean diesel, compressed natural gas, diesel-electric hybrid, and battery-electric options.
“Academy is one of the most respected private operators in North America, and a third consecutive order is the clearest possible validation of the work our team is doing in Riverside,” said Jason Lee, chief executive officer of ENC, in a statement.
Academy Bus, headquartered in Hoboken, New Jersey, operates more than 1,200 buses from over 20 locations between Boston and Miami. The company provides charter, commuter, inter-city, contract, and university shuttle services.
The new buses will be manufactured at ENC’s ISO 9001-certified facility in Jurupa Valley, California. ENC said parent company Rivaz has invested more than $50 million in facility and equipment upgrades, workforce development, and planned expansion efforts since assuming ownership of the manufacturer in 2024.
