TAPTCO Re-creates its Paratransit Operator Development Course
The course features 29 programs that comply with the latest FTA requirements for a Public Transit Agency Safety Plan.

Transit & Paratransit Company (TAPTCO) has completed the re-creation and expansion of its Paratransit Operator Development Course.
Eight years ago, TAPTCO created its original Paratransit Operator Development Course. The updated course features 29 programs that focus on educating and persuading operators to avoid all unsafe behaviors.
As the new FTA requirements for a Public Transit Agency Safety Plan include detailed requirements for following a Safety Management System, these desired behaviors overlap with the actions to implement a safety culture.
The new course is available on DVD, Thumb Drive, or via the web on a Learning Management System.
In May, TAPTCO launched its new Transit Operator Development Course, which includes the same concepts and techniques as the paratransit course. More than 450 transit agencies and almost every major contractor are reportedly using the original or upgraded Transit Operator Development Course.
