BetterFleet, provider of software solutions to plan and manage the transition to zero emission fleets, appointed Mike Bismeyer as its new director, sales and client solutions, North America, and Holly Montalban as its director, marketing. Both bring unique expertise in transit and electrification to the company.

With 15 years of experience in the transit industry, Bismeyer was most recently director,  Canada sales, at Proterra where he was responsible for the company’s expansion into the Canadian market, bringing electric buses, charging systems, and energy management software to transit agencies from coast to coast. As an award-winning sales director at Proterra, Bismeyer drove the acquisition of key customer accounts with record-breaking projects that set new standards for transit fleet electrification across the continent.

“Making the move to zero emission fleets is complex, and early adopters have felt the brunt of that. For full adoption we need to simplify the process for fleets, with the right solutions that speak to their needs,” said Bismeyer. “Taking a focused approach, BetterFleet has developed a platform that meets a very real need in the transit industry right now, setting them apart from others in the space.”

Bismeyer is also a member of the board of directors for the Canadian Urban Transit Association and is known for his kindness initiatives and anti-bullying advocacy efforts, which have been nationally recognized.

Montalban also joins BetterFleet from Proterra where she was director, marketing, leading a team responsible for marketing electric buses and charging solutions to transit agencies, airports, universities, and commercial fleet operators throughout North America. Prior to Proterra, she led U.S. marketing and communications for Mercedes-Benz Energy, and previously was with Engie Storage marketing energy storage solutions for commercial applications.

“As we accelerate our expansion to offer the best solutions for fleets transitioning to zero emissions, it’s imperative that we bring the right expertise on board during this critical growth stage,” said BetterFleet CEO Daniel Hilson. “The experience in fleet electrification both Mike and Holly bring to the team will be instrumental in helping us deliver our industry-leading software to fleet operators everywhere.”

BetterFleet streamlines the transition to zero emission bus fleets with intelligent software solutions that enable fleet operators and municipalities to plan and manage their fleets with a simplified, data-driven approach.
