FlixBus announced the launch of a new route connecting Calgary to Banff National Park’s Lake Louise, beginning today. This expansion will enhance access to one of Canada’s most stunning and highly visited locations which draws approximately five million visitors annually.
Building on the success of its Calgary-to-Banff line, one of FlixBus’s most popular services in North America, the addition of the Lake Louise stop represents a major step in the company’s Canadian network expansion. The new route meets the needs of travelers seeking affordable and sustainable car-free travel options, especially as Parks Canada’s shuttle service frequently reaches capacity early.
“Lake Louise is currently accessible primarily by private vehicles, tour companies, and shuttles, leaving many potential visitors without practical travel options to reach this beautiful location,” said Karina Frayter, head of communications at Flix North America. “With this new route, FlixBus not only enhances our offerings in Canada but also delivers flexible, affordable, and eco-friendly transportation solutions for those looking to explore this breathtaking region.”
FlixBus' New Route
The new route will stop at the Lake Louise parking lot and the Lake Louise Shell station at the Visitor Centre, granting travelers easy access to popular landmarks and amenities.
FlixBus is rapidly expanding its transportation offerings across Canada, aiming to meet the increasing demand for more convenient and sustainable travel options through the country.
Customers can now book travel to Lake Louise on FlixBus.com and the FlixBus mobile app.
