MV lands Sun Metro paratransit contract
The company will be responsible for operations, maintenance, reservations, customer service, and rider eligibility certification within the LIFT system.
MV Transportation Inc. was awarded a contract to provide paratransit services for El, Paso, Texas’ Sun Metro Transit, beginning Dec. 1.
Under terms of the five-year contract, with additional three- and two-year options, MV will provide paratransit transportation for the El Paso region. The company will be responsible for operations, maintenance, reservations, customer service, and rider eligibility certification within Sun Metro’s LIFT paratransit service system.
LIFT is Sun Metro's paratransit service for ADA paratransit-eligible clients, providing origin to destination, on-demand transportation. The LIFT service compliments the service area and hours of operation offered by Sun Metro's traditional public transit service.
With this latest contract, MV extends a long-standing partnership with Sun Metro into its second decade after beginning initial services in 2012. In the first 10 months of 2019, MV has managed over 250,000 trips for LIFT passengers.
