Birmingham, Ala.’s Thrasher Brothers Trailways, which will celebrate its 45th year in business this year, added a new Van Hool TD925 double-deck coach from ABC Companies.
The new coach features a Cummins engine, Allison transmission, new upholstery by Sardo Interiors, a REI video system, an updated 110-volt plug system at every seat, and a beautiful silver paint for the finish.

The finished product was presented to the Thrashers at the 80th Annual Trailways Meeting in Ft. Myers, Fla.
ABC Companies also announced that its Winter Garden, Fla. location has received the Environment & Safety Elite Award.
The company joins a select group of automotive, truck and equipment dealerships, and service companies that have demonstrated dedication to excellence in regards to overall concern for their community, their employees and their customers. To achieve this award, ABC Companies participated in a rigorous review process and proved adherence to industry best practices in all six program categories, including: Safety Systems, Environmental Systems, Hazard Communication, Loss Control, Emergency Response, and other Facility Specific Requirements.

ABC Companies has been exemplary in meeting or exceeding environmental health and safety regulations and standards. Activities include preserving local environment by properly disposing of waste, minimizing emissions, and utilizing Air Conditioning equipment that protects the ozone layer.

Additionally, ABC has demonstrated concern for employee’s safety and well-being by providing a safe environment. This includes; maintaining a chemical inventory, training employees, providing employee access to Safety Data Sheets and a written hazard communication plan.
