Martin Elton joined AECOM as projects director for the firm's U.S. High-Speed Rail Practice.

Elton is responsible for the management and delivery of rail infrastructure projects from early feasibility stages through design and construction, business development and bid preparations. As a member of the operation's transportation and engineering senior management group, Elton relies on his extensive project management, design and construction support experience to develop successful business strategies.

During his 30-year career, Elton has worked on a wide range of rail infrastructure projects, including high-speed and heavy rail, and specialized in light rail and metro projects, such as the Channel Tunnel High-Speed Railway and Docklands Light Railway in London and the Copenhagen Metro in Denmark.

Prior to his recent focus on rail projects, Elton specialized in the power industry and bridge projects where he worked on projects that include the United Kingdom's Barking Reach and Teeside Power Stations.
