Allison Transmission Inc. announced that it will be exhibiting at the United Motorcoach Association (UMA) EXPO Feb. 9 to 11, 2012, at the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, Calif.

Allison will be in booth #843 and plans to display two of their most popular Bus Series model transmissions — an Allison B 400 and an Allison B 500 with retarder. Allison Bus Series transmissions offer maximum input power of up to 550 (hp) and up to 1700 (lb/ft) of torque and are ideally suited for tour coaches exceeding 33,000 lbs. gross vehicle weight (GVW).

In addition to the transmission hardware, Allison's exhibit booth will highlight some of the key features of these units including: torque converter technology, prognostics and Load Based Shift Scheduling (LBSS). Allison sales and engineering staff will be on hand to explain how these features can provide users better driveline protection, increased traction and control, more efficient service and maintenance and optimized productivity and fuel economy.
