SAN FRANCISCO — Apple and Google employees who use company shuttle buses to get to and from work are in for longer commutes, as the two tech giants are rerouting buses following multiple attacks last week, Fortune reported.
At least five Apple shuttles had their windows smashed with either rocks or a pellet gun while transporting employees on Highway 280; a Google shuttle was also attacked along the same route, the report said.
Last year, Google shuttles were attacked in a similar manner as part of a protest against the tech company and the gentrification of the Bay Area. While the shuttles aren't marked with company logos, they are indetifiable by color, white for Google, silver for Apple, and blue for Facebook, according to Fortune.
