TUCSON, Ariz. — Transit officials told The Daily Wildcat that testing on the Sun Link Tucson Streetcar is about to be completed and the preparation for startup will soon begin. The eighth and final streetcar is scheduled to arrive later this month, and the line is scheduled to open on July 25.

Officials also told the newspaper that economic development began happening along the streetcar line as the project was being implemented, with millions of dollars invested in the development, and that the streetcar will offer greater mobility for university students.
