AssetWorks, a leading provider of fleet management software and automated fuel management systems, announces an integration with Digabit’s flagship product, Documoto Illustrated Parts Catalog.

Integration of AssetWorks and Digabit solutions has been deployed at Regional Transport District of Denver (RTD). Dean Shaklee, RTD General Superintendant Maintenance, said; “The integration of AssetWorks and Documoto allows our mechanics to easily identify the correct part the first time, and then transfer the part numbers from the web based parts catalog into a requisition directly within the AssetWorks application, automating the parts ordering process. This process both assures accuracy in the parts ordering process and avoids the high cost of ordering the wrong part(s), saving time and money. We estimate the Documoto and AssetWorks integration will save mechanics a significant amount of time over the years.”

RTD has relied on AssetWorks’ fully integrated Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software product line — FleetFocus, RailFocus, EquipmentFocus and LinearFocus — since 2007. The transit system uses the AssetWorks’ system in all of its maintenance facilities to manage bus, paratransit, support fleet, and light rail operations as well as its maintenance-of-way, rebuild, body, and electronics, treasury, and bus stops, stations and facilities operations.

RTD tracks all aspects of its maintenance and asset management operation on AssetWorks’ single database, including real-time labor capture, work order management, materials management and fuel and fluid data to ensure that it is tracking real-time operating costs.

“We are pleased to add Digabit as one of our technology partners. The Documoto solution is very complimentary to our EAM product lines and an enhancement that will be welcomed by our customers,” said Jim Schnepp, VP, sales and marketing, AssetWorks.

Alan Sage, President of Digabit noted, “Documoto is a fresh approach to an old problem that is very familiar to asset intensive industries like RTD. Documoto is both low cost, and quick to implement, which makes it an ideal compliment to any FASuite implementation. We are pleased to be working with two exceptional organizations, AssetWorks and RTD, to deliver this much needed capability to the industry.”
