ATC wins Chico, Calif., contract
More than 100 employees and 60 vehicles will remain under contractor's control.
ATC, a Chicago-based transit contractor, was awarded the renewal of its Chico, Calif., fixed-route and paratransit services contract.
With 105 employees and 60 vehicles, the new contract is for five years with two one-year options.
The service was formerly operated through six separate contracts involving four entities — the city of Chico, the city of Oroville, the town of Paradise and the county of Butte.
Under ATC’s new contract, all entities will be known under the name Butte Regional Transit.
The contract is ATC’s longest-held contract in California, first awarded in 1987.
