NEWARK, N.J. — The Amalgamated Transit Union is pushing for prosecutors to press for attempted murder charges against the man who allegedly stabbed a NJ Transit bus driver seven times, NJ.com reported.
Maurice Young allegedly stabbed the driver as he unloaded passengers in Newark. Newark police told NJ.com that Young was a passenger on the bus. A union official said that Young should also face a federal charge that makes disabling a bus or train operator punishable by up to 20 years in prison. For the full story, click here.
