SACRAMENTO, Calif. — New California pension laws are poised to cut off billions of dollars in transportation funding federal officials warned, saying that the law appears to violate federal mass transit grant regulation, which requires agencies to protect employees' collective bargaining rights, according to The Tribune.
More than 100 federal grants could be stalled, with some $1.6 billion this year alone could dry up for everything from commuter rail expansion to bus maintenance. For the full story, click here.
