Bombardier Transportation and partner Alstom Transport LHB won an order to supply Germany's Deutsche Bahn rail network with suburban railway trains valued at $402 million. Bombardier's share of the contract is valued at $262 million. Deliveries of the 78 ET 422 four-section trains, with an option for 72 more, are scheduled between March 2008 and October 2010. The ET 422 railcar series can reach speeds up to nearly 90 mph.
